Default Spare Clusters - Any Ideas?

So I have a few spare clusters that do me no good except collecting dust on my shelves. Does anybody have any idea what I should do with these? My idea is to send/sell them to Batee. He is a pro with these clusters and their parts will certainly be used for good in order to help other members’ clusters look as good as new.

Does anyone have experience selling their clusters to Batee? My aim is to get these clusters to a place where they’ll benefit other corvette owners. There’s a chance I’ll sell one or two here too. Who knows.

He has bought electronic parts from me in the past. Just reach out and ask.

Do any still have the OE/GM/ACD label on them so that they can be identified by year & RPO? If yes you might offer them here on the CF for those that need maybe something other than they actually have.

I know the second one from the left is from an 84 and the one on the far right is an 87. I can poke around the other two to see if any clues point to an exact year. I plan to hook them up to my car in the coming days to determine their functionality. I sadly don't have a way to bench test them (though I do see that Batee sells kits).

If i were in your shoes, I wohld sell them. I have the bench testing kit from Batee and it works very well. Typically, the clusters will need repair but if the lcd screens are cracked or the polarizing film has gone bad, it will take a bit more to get them functioning. I might be interested in the 84 cluster. I thought about getting a spare to rebuild for my 84.

For those who are interested, I have made very very simple test videos of the clusters connected to my car.

Cluster 1 1987 -

Cluster 2 1986 -

Cluster 3 1984 -

Cluster 4 (barely functional so I didn’t make a video about it. It’s a post-1984 cluster though)

The 1986 cluster seems to be the best and brightest. That’s the one I’m almost certainly going to sell as one piece rather than having it be gutted by Bryan at Batee. The 1987 cluster is in ok condition, definitely driver-worthy. The 1984 is pretty dead. It would be hard to sell it in good faith, but someone willing to have it refurbished could have a solid one-year-only cluster on their hands.

I've sold lots of these over the years on ebay. I always test them the best that I can after I pull them from salvage yards. Even if I find one that has problems I've sold them as "non working for parts only". I've had every one sell in a few weeks at most. Usually a couple days.
