Possibly. Where did all the oil go?

260 is spicy. Pretty sure most gauges max out there, so could have gone over. Definitely sounds like it blew a head gasket. From the lack of oil/water situation, could have killed a bearign or two. . .

Any funny noises? First thing to do is a cooling system check to see if exhaust gasses are getting in. I'm assuming they are. At absolute minimum, I see head gaskets in your future. Stop driving the car until it's fixed.

Overheating can cause great alarm and should be handled with the upmost caution. Our advise would be to bring your C4 to a Chevrolet dealership, so they can diagnose your engine properly. If you need help locating a facility near you or connecting with one, you are welcomed to email our support team at socialmedia@gm.com anytime.

This is great advice. The techs at all dealerships are very familiar with the engines in a C4. Dan

I tried taking my corvette to a chevy dealership. It's a 1996. I was told they wouldn't do an alignment on it because it was too old.

Are those CustSvc posts AI generated? They seem for the most part robotic - and totally out of reality in the 40 year old C4 category.

First thing, get some oil in the motor!!!!!! Don't start it again before you do.
