Anyone with the Flowmaster system have an idea how to dress up the rusting tip situation ?

I put my stock tips on, but then I got rid of the flows, because of the interior resonance.

I have Flowmasters as well and the interior resonance is loud at low speeds. They do sound great outside of the car. When I had them put on, I had the shop weld all of the connections and weld on the new style tips. I guess they look OK

My flowmasters for my '91 Vette show up today - ifn UPS does what their tracking site says...anyway...these have the steel tips, and I plan to shoot a good coat of epoxy primer on them, and then finish with some high temp black engine paint (either flat, or satin). It'll look GOOD.

That is my only beef with the flowmasters. They sound awsome but those tips **** me off. I take a wire brush and some sand paper to them every year. Then I brush on some high temp aluminum color paint.

Ive always used an S.O.S. pad to remove the rust. Try it
Then use some chrome polish

The tips on the Flowmasters for the LT-1 are not chromed or stainless.

Cut off the old ones and put some stainless steal ones on. That was my solution :smash:
