Are you guys using stock size C5 tires also?I am getting ready to order 245 45 17 for the front and 275 40 18 for the rear.Is this the right right choice? Will these fill the wheel openings on the C4?By the way I am installing 99 wheels on my 86 vette.
Thanks
those will be too tall and mess with your speedometer, you can use them, they will fit, but you'd be better off using 245 (or 255)/40/17 and 275/35/18s on the rear, that's what i have and they work fine :D

Re: Owners with C5 wheels (_freakmonkeydogboy_)
I have a set of '99 wheels for my car, but I don't have the 18 inch tires for the rear yet. I think freakmonkeydogboy is right. With the math I've done, 275/35/18 seem they best as far as throwing off the speedometer the least.
That said, I still don't have the tires bought. Any recommendations?
I put P255/45ZR/17's on all 4 corners. They fit fine, look good, and cause no problems with the speedo reading. Makes them easier to "rotate" too, beings that they're all the same size.

I've heard good things about the Kumho Ecstas, the Yokahama A520s are great but loud, Michelin Pilot Sports are good too.
255/40/17's on the front, 275/40/18's on the back, works good for me. My speed-o reading is about 5 miles off. If my O-dometer reads that I'm going 55 mph, the car is actually going about 58 mph.
