Default Air Dam Help!

Hi All, I have yet another issue I need some insight on:

My '93 was missing the air dam completely when I got it, I have since purchased a factory replacement set and new hardware. I went to install them tonight and realized that I am also missing whatever it is that the center air dam is secured to. I got the brace for it but whatever it bolts to is long gone. I can't seem to find an accurate exploded view nor have I been able to track this piece down or even its name.

Does anybody happen to at least have photos of the underside with it removed so I can see what I'll have to replicate if it comes to that? Also if anyone knows what this piece is called or where I might be able to find one I'd be much appreciative.

Thanks,
-Zach

After looking at this damn dam for an hour I finally remembered the small support bracket I found in the back of the car with a bunch of other random hardware and I realized how dumb my previous post was. The air dam is on. On another note if anyone knows how to delete a thread that'd be great lol.

Not dumb at all.

How would you know that the PO removed the support bracket?

Glad you got it on

So for those who might not know and stumble upon this thread, here's how the factory front air dam on the 91-96 Corvettes is attached:

There are five bolts (either a T30 torx or a 10mm) that go from the bottom up through the outer air dams, then through the wheel well, then the front bumper and finally into plastic 'nuts' that clip into the outer retainers. The center air dam sits below the outers and they share two of those bolts, one on each side. There is a small steel brace that goes from the front bumper down to the center air dam in the middle. The top of it is secured to the bumper with a single bolt with a 7mm hex. The bottom is bolted to the forward middle hole in the center air dam with a nut on the bottom (I don't know what size factory hardware is but the replacement hardware from Zip Corvette is all 10mm hex.) Finally, to help make the center air dam more rigid, there is a stamped steel brace that sits underneath the back edge of the center air dam and is held in place with five more bolts with nuts on the bottom, same as the one from the center air dam to the support bracket. One other notable thing is that on each side there are two additional holes in the outer dams, the bumper, the wheel well and the retainer. These holes can be differentiated by the much larger holes in the outer dams and the smaller plastic 'nuts' in the retainers. These take small torx screws (I believe T15 but not 100% sure) that have large captive washers on them. These screws won't hold the dams, but they will keep the bumper and wheel well aligned to make installation of the dams much easier. The large holes in the dams are meant to go right over the screws' captive washers.

I hope this can be of help to another person piecing together someone else's mess, because I sure wish I had this write-up before I spent two hours installing air dams lol.
