85 overdrive button

Default 85 overdrive button
Was there a mid year change for the location of the overdrive button from the console to the stick **** or vs versa?

Yep, early production 1985 cars got the 84 style console button while the later production cars moved the button to the stick.

You can purchase a used later year shifter and convert it. I did. I have an early '85 without the third brake light.

I had an '84 4+3 car with the toggle switch on the console. Did not realize that it was changed during the '85 model run.

There are a ton of items that were changed mid 85 year. The early c4s were a rush job to get them out to the public.
