What do you believe 65D to be?

D84 Custom Two Tone Paint is missing in the list, but should be present. The exterior colors 63L, 63U and 66M denote that this was a light bronze / medium bronze 2-tone.
Some other codes have been omitted as well from the list. Like the transmission and emissions compliance.
EDIT/ADD: I spent some additional time refreshing my memory on the seats in the early years. Here's what I found, which mimicks WVZR's comments:
AQ9 is always Sports Seats, cloth or leather, power or manual.
AR9 is always Base Seats, cloth or leather, power or manual.
Base Cloth seat (AR9) color code is xxC (3,112) AR9 in 1985.
Sport Cloth seat (AQ9) color code is xxV. (5,661) AQ9 in 1985.
Leather (either AR9 or AQ9) is xx2. (30,955) Leather (Base or Sport) in 1985.
For 1985 Blue (28I) was available in leather, unlike 1984 when it was only available in cloth.
For 1985 Red (74I) was available in leather only. (742).
"65" is the color code for bronze interior. I have not a clue what 65D is. 65V is Bronze Sport Cloth. If "65V" is accurate, there should be a 65I, and a seat code AQ9.

Beginning in 86, the U was the "primary color" which the entire car was first painted in. L became "secondary color" which was applied to the lower portion, over the primary color. After the second color coat, it was clear coated. "M" was no longer used.

Here's a D84 "Oddity": The 1988 Z01 35th Anniversary has a black roll bar and painted roof panel (if equipped). The Z01 has D84 on the SPID and the colors are 40U (white) / 41L (black). Note that the "L" is "higher" on the car. The correct use of U is "primary" in that it was applied first, and L is "secondary" in that it was applied second, over the primary color. Yes, "Lower" fits most applications of the secondary color, but not always. Cheers.
