Hello! I have recently purchased a new rear bumper since my old one was starting to get all old and nasty. I own a 93 corvette, and bought a used bumper off a 91. But for whatever reason I can't seem to get it to fit. It just seems too small, I've been sawing through the fiberglass around the holes with the nuts are supposed to go in trying to get it even on both sides, I finally have it on (kind of), but now it just looks too small. I don't know if there's a certain way to go about this or if I should just try to get a new bumper. Here are some pictures that show the gap in between the car and bumper it's like this on both sides.
Haven't been able to find any resources about attaching the bumper, only taking it off online so any help would be greatly appreciated

Probably an issue due to age? I wouldn't be surprised if urethane shrinks while "drying out"? Years ago, my local Chevy dealer's body shop sent my similarly-bought rear bumper replacement to a bumper shop...the kind that used to rechrome old steel bumpers. SUPPOSIDLY, they remolded/reconditioned it, though (in my case) my concern was the kind of "waviness" you see forming in some older urethan bumpers. In sending it out, I was reassured it would look as good as a brand new bumper -- and it did.
I'm, even thinking it looked a hair small as yours does. Maybe not that much though? If you don't want to investigate that option, a heat gun or hair dryer are likely going to be your best option to get the rubber pliable and "stretchy" enough to pull it out and bolt it up. Doing it on a hot sunny day, maybe? The black OUGHT to get that black bumper super hot in the sun.
