Seems my original '94 Brake Booster has gone kaput (booster is hissing, car hard to stop, etc.). Given I'm a little stuck on originality - two questions:
1. Who sells an original '94 plastic brake booster?
or
2. Is there anyone out there that would rebuild mine?
Actually my preference would be to rebuild my original. While I'm in there, I also plan to replace the master cylinder.
I replaced my booster a year ago and all i could find is the metal ones... I don't know if there are any of the OE plastic ones around unless you buy used
I just finished this project. I’m in CA and no one had one local. Plastic or metal. Had to have one shipped from Florida thru Orielys. Plastic unit, 200 bucks. It work correctly and looks close. Working under the dash was the hardest part.
Is your car auto or manual transmission? If manual the metal ones won’t fit and you have to find a used original. While doing the booster is a great time to do plugs. So much easier to get to the plugs on the driver side rear.
