No charge situation on car, battery and alternator are well.. Could this alternator wire be causing the issue?
Doesn't look very good but check the plug in wires under the alternator, you'll have to take the alternator off to get to the plug. At least on my 95, you do.
The output terminal and wire have experienced overheating from a 'bad' (resistive) connection. The black insulator in the case appears to be melted and distorted, the internal stud may be contacting the case, thus a direct short. The 91 alternator output is a direct wire to the junction behind the battery with a dedicated fuse link. Check that link, if it has blown, the alternator is shorted.
Is the alternator in the picture a "one wire" alternator? If = YES, and it needs to be replaced, I would suggest returning to the conventional CS130 that has a charge indicator light output, turns on with the ignition, and utilizes remote sensing. The last feature is the important one. A one wire senses at the output rather than at the battery junction. The system voltage is lower with a one wire than with the OEM remote sense strategy.
