That makes me feel better went around a corner today and hit the gas and the pedal pushed back and at first I thought something was broke or worn out. Then got to thinking about the ASR and wanted to check on here cause I have never delt with a traction control system like that.
I don’t like it. My first thing I do after starting my car is hit the ASR off button…
I don't like it either. I was also annoyed by having to remember to turn it off every time I started the car. So I came up with a relay circuit that automatically turns it off for me. I can still turn it on/off with the button.
Passive TCS defeat relay. 1992 LT1. The 3 wires in the 3-cavity black connector were removed from the yellow 10 cavity connector behind it. Ign power, ground, and crank signal are "tapped", but the wires not cut. The brown wires from the relay are the 'button' circuit in an off-screen connector.
The brown wire in the 1-cavity connector in the foreground was removed from the 10-cavity white connector behind it. This is the "button" circuit.
