Breadbox removal question
I'm replacing the breadbox on my 89 with one of the flat dask kits. Dash pad came off fine. When I removed the breadbox pad it came out ok but it left a thin foam residue on the plastic part of the dash where the lower part of the pad had stuck. What would be the best way to clean this off without hurting the plastic of the dash? I doesn't scrape off with a fingernail, 3m adhesive remover seems not to work too well either. Thanks in advance.

Hummm, try some "goof off" from the Home Depot. We use it at work all the time for misc cleanup. What are you putting in it's place?

It's not sticky, it's a real thin layer of foam off of the bottom of the breadbox, so thin you can't really scrape it off. I'm replacing it with the flat panel from Eckler's. (Wife bought it for me, she thought it would make it easier for her to get in and out of the car) Maybe this picture will help to show what I'm talking about.
