Default New rims question

I recently got a 1993 and the wheels are starting to peel clear coat and have some flat spots on them, I’m looking into some 17x9.5 4play oe cv01 rims styled like the zr1 rims my only concern is everything I’ve found says that the center bore is 70.3mm and those have 70.7mm is that enough to cause any issues?

Yes, it will likely result in vibration as the aftermarket wheel won't be centered to the wheel hub. Hub centering rings should be available to correct for the difference in hub sizes.

I don’t know the answer for you but it depends on whether the wheels are lug centric or hub centric. I’d also take a caliper to a set of stock sawblades to see what they measure. If the wheels are lug centric, any wheel with a slightly bigger bore than the hub size should work. Hopefully someone has a more precise answer.

ALL wheels for these cars are "lug-centric." They are all located by the tapered seats and the matching taper of the lug nuts. "Hub-centric" only refers to the hub bore being close enough in diameter to the hub pilot to allow for easy wheel mounting. Once you actually torque down the lug nuts, the pilot and bore have nothing to do with locating the wheel. And in the OP's case, the difference in pilot and bore diameters is only 0.4mm, which everyone should actually look at on a ruler. There won't be a spacer that thin!

So to answer the OP's question, as long as the wheel's bore is bigger than the pilot diameter, it's all good. Just make sure the bolt pattern is 5 x 4-3/4" (5x120.65mm) and not 5x120mm. There is a difference. I'm sure those OE wheels are correct, though, since this is the fitment they are intended for.
