Default Question about harmonic balancer puller tools

Do the pullers advertised on Summit Racing's site work the same way as Kent-Moore harmonic balancer puller U-39046-4? From what i've read, the K-M puller uses a rod that seats against the bottom of the hole in the crankshaft. Is K-M's J-39046 the same puller? Pricing for the K-M puller are insane, between $800-$1,100.

Here are links to Summit Racing's 3 pullers. From what i can tell, all 3 appear the same, come with more or less tooling and all in the same price range.

Thanks in advance, i'm looking forward to your replies.

They do look the same to me as well, any should make the job go smoothly. I find the installing a balancer more tricky, as long as you use the threaded adapter to screw into the crankshaft you should be good to drive it home fully. Too easy to strip the thread trying to use the short harmonic balancer bolt, I always use the proper tool now to remove and fit balancers makes it quick and easy. 🙂👍

I used one from a tool rental automotive store and it worked fine.

The LT1 "hub" is different than the legacy SBC.
