Backfire when starting up

Hi Everyone,

First time post, nice to meet everyone.

I have a 1994 base model. It seems like when I let it sit for a few days I get a backfire when I start it up. Runs okay afterwards.
When I start it every day, no issues. Any ideas, or any thoughts how to troubleshoot this?
I am thinking it could be a leaky injector, or the fuel pressure regulator?

Start by checking your ignition timing. Late timing puts unburned gases into the exhaust system, resulting in the pop. Rule it out first.

Correcting my base timing solved alot of my issues, especially after fixing all the vacuum leaks and still having unstable idle and backfires.
