Hello everyone
This is what she wanted:
Somebody added the ZR1 wheels, tires and stick-on rear spoiler but it’s mostly original as far as I can tell. It has an after market radio and whoever installed it cut the trim that goes around it.
It has higher miles but mostly from its early days. It wasn’t driven much in the last couple decades. The tires have a 2006 date code and according to the odometer less than 6k miles. Not really a true barn find but I did buy it from a retired farmer and it smells like grain.
Other than the R134 conversion it appears stock under the hood, but I’m not familiar with these years so I’m sure I’ll find stuff as I tinker. The hoses at least are all still stamped 91.
The paint has been touched up in some spots but overall it appears to be original.
The oil pressure sender/switch apparatus is leaking. Other than that it runs good. I know there are haters of the L98 but it puts the power in a fun spot. It’s not fair to compare this to an LT or LS engine. It reminds me very much of an old L30 I had a few lifetimes ago times ago.
im mostly going to lay back in the weeds and sift through old posts. One good thing about owning a 35 year old car is somebody has already solved any problems I’m going to encounter.
My intentions are to keep this as close to original as I can. It seems Gm doesn’t make the oil senders I need so any help locating good parts is appreciated. I also am looking for an original trim piece to go around the radio and it’s missing the sun visors.
Nice to meet you all.

Moving this thread to C4 General. I recommend posting a wanted to buy (WTB) thread in the C4 Parts for Sale/Wanted section for the parts you need.

Nice color combo too, somehow I imagine Christy Brinkly in her prime riding in a car like that. Well having fun!
