In other words, are Opti interchangeable between 96 Impala and 96 Vette?

I would buy from auto part store or Rock Auto so you know you are getting the right part, and if failure occurs they honor with no hassles for replacement.
That is my recommendation.
Now back to my original question. Are the Opti units interchangeable between B body and Corvette for the 1996 model year?
The main reason I ask is Petris lists them separately on their site. Since they list them separately, what’s the difference if any?

^^^^^^^^^^ Best answer post I have seen in a long time.

I sent a message to Petris to ask them why they list the 1996 Impala and 1996 Corvette opti separately with different prices on each. If I get an answer, I'll post it back.
Thanks so much for reaching out! Our website is currently undergoing a major overhaul behind the scenes for this very reason. It can definitely be a bit confusing the way the listings are arranged right now.
Both the 1996 Corvette and 1996 Impala use the pin-drive Optispark, but all of the B-, D-, and F-body cars use a longer vacuum harness than the Corvette. The electrical harnesses are identical, and there are no differences in the distributors themselves beyond the vacuum harness length.
We also segment our kits by vehicle because the water pumps and plug wires differ between applications.
Hope this clears things up, and I’m happy to answer any additional questions!
