Here is the inside of my 80,000 mile presumably original Optispark. Crazy amounts of corrosion and what looks like blue raspberry Pop Rocks. This thing worked before I removed it, only giving me trouble after several days of rain (I think this was the culprit) The ventilation lines were also destroyed by previous owner, so I guess these things can be pretty robust despite what people say. It is being rebuilt with a new MSD cap and rotor.
