Check the fuel rail pressure. The fuel filter sock on my 1995 started dry rotting and pieces started getting sucked into the pump, clogging it up. Still had some pressure but not enough for the car to run. After the car sat for a while, it would start again. Replaced the pump and sock, hasn’t run better in a long while.

This sounds very much like something in the ignition system is failing when it gets hot. The someone above already mentioned the ICM, but the opti sensor can also fail in this mode. When it won't start, you need to use a noid light to see if the injectors are getting their pulses from the PCM. If not, it's the opti. If so, it's likely the ICM.
