Am trying to fit this new hush panel i got into the 84 and wanted to test out the light before installing. Well i connect it and nothing. whats weird is my passenger side light was on but started to flicker and eventually died. My door panel lights and rear seat lights both work so im doubting its the delay module. is there any way to trouble shoot this or do i bite the bullet and order a replacement module and hope it gets fixed
so i checked again and the module was not properly connected. Although this did fix my passenger side footwell light, the driver did not turn on whatsoever. did a continuity test on the whites from the connector to the module and nothing. i see in the shop manual that theres 3 splices inbetween the module and the light. is there anyway to know where those are.
So ive tested all points where the power (pink/white) go in; the center cluster, the dash cluster, the delay module for continuity between the passenger light and the driver light. Only the passenger had continuity with all those mentioned. looking at the shop manual there shouldnt be any connections between the module to the light but i just wanted to check in case. im going to make a jumper from passenger to driver and see specifically what isnt working the white or pink
according to this diagram the white and pink both splice somewhere. my question is where. im seen some ppl saying theres no specific place where they splice and others suggesting in the area of the delay module. Does anyone have any clue where to check before hacking at the harness. the only reason im thinking of looking at the splice is because as previously stated theres no continuity from passenger to driver side courtesy lamp. if anyone has a better suggestion im all ears.
