That's gonna be a tough one to locate. Especially for a '90.

You'd be better off posting a thread in the Wanted To Buy parts section of the C4 sub-forum.

Anyone selling parts are more likely to check there more routinely to see if they have anything anyone needs.

Just out of pure curiosity, what makes you believe that you need a replacement?

Hm. I'm gonna read up on code 16 and see what I can learn about it.

Oh, never mind.

I know what part it is now.

With that, I think you can just clean it up underneath the sensor and regrease it with dialectric or something similar.

But then you have to reset the light. Which is a pain.

They used to sell a specific tool that did it automatically but thy don't sell em any more.

This is the manual way of resetting it after cleaning it up...

Yeah, I remembered afterward. There's one on the right side of the car some place, too.
I'd sand the area where it screws down to the frame and clean up the sensor first before replacing, if you haven't done so yet.

But you still would have to reset the light/code because it won't go away like the other codes do when you clear those.

Oh. Well heck. It'll be a chore finding that part, I think.

I do see some listed on various salvage parts sites after searching a bit but with those particular sites, you never know if it's not actually in stock and they just havenlt deleted the listing.

That happens quite a bit with those sites.

And, gosh, they're 2 and close to 3 hundred bucks for a used one.

My 1990 has the airbag light/seatbelt light on, and has NO codes. Mechanic checked it for me and said it's probably the bag module itself or the DERM. I'm thinking seriously of just pulling the bulbs when I get the cluster out to send off to fix the wonky tachometer. If I ever sold it, I would be sure to tell the buyer. In all honesty, not sure how much I would trust a 36 year old airbag in the first place.
