Hey Everyone. I'm needing help to open a hood on 95 Corvette ZR1. I've tried the bar, which was ordered off the internet from a Corvette owner. Can't get it to work. I've took the wheel wells loose, my arm isn't long enough to reach the latch. I called a Chevrolet dealer....that was a laugh. They suggested taking it to a rebuilder. SMH I really need help!
Depending on which side is not releasing, I'd take the top off and parallel drive it up on a steep incline so that the side that isn't releasing is lower than the side that does and give it a good pull.
Actually probably better to parallel drive it on a steep incline both ways to see if it'll pop.
It probably will.
Probably the only saving grace of the C4 being so flexible without the top on.
Assuming it's a coupe.
That's how I got mine to release when the little clip broke on the end of the hood release cable in order to repair it.

Reason: Typos...
What worked a metal coat hanger from the cleaners worked perfectly, I pulled it to make a hook, with little bend slipped into the hood seal and went fishing pulling it back and fourth till I felt hook and open that took about 15 minutes.
