1984 auto, today while removing my ac compressor to put an AC compressor delete pulley in, the mount snapped, I figured I could just run the idler/tensioner pulley without a compressor pulley by running an 7p.5 inch belt, however I hear i need a ribbed tensioner pulley and I need pointed in the right direction, also I believe I can still use the unbroken part of the ac bracket that still has the tensioner if I just bolt the two bolts down

just take the bracket off and have it welded. Shouldn't cost too much, it's aluminum so you'll have to find a welder capable of fixing it. I'm retired or I'd fix it for you. Look in marketplace for C4 parts cars.
