Default Switching seat back frames on a 96

Can anyone tell me if the seat back frames on a 96 Grand Sport are interchangeable side to side. I managed to install the covers on the wrong side and am thinking about switching the entire seat backs instead of risking r & r. Is this possible or are they side specific. Sport seats.

I was able to switch both seats completely on my 96 base. The bolster on the drivers side had the regular wear. I fixed it with the leather dye/refinish kits out there. I knew the repair would not wear as good as fresh leather so I switched the seats side to side. This put the repaired bolster on the inside of the passenger seat where it gets little wear and still looks new. I don't know if your seats are the same as a base. Dan

Just to be clear. Did you switch the seat back frames. Leaving the bottoms on their original side.

No, I switched the whole seats. I am sorry as I did not see you had sport seats. I can not give an answer on seat backs as I never removed the back from the seat bottom. I do not have sport seats. Dan
