Vellos Vinyls puts out a great underhood decal that I have on my car. It's an excellent attention getter, and kids love it. I put it on my own car, and have car show plaques in other areas under there. I don't regret for one minute doing this. It's not something many other vehicles can pull off successfully. My 93 had one at one time before I bought the car. It preserved the paint under the sticker, as the paint is flaking around where the sticker should be. Otherwise, under hood stickers aren't for me personally. Some look really nice as posted above, but just not my personal style.
Not really decals just some win stickers. The mustang i raced saw them and asked could he have one because he bet his buddy. Then has buddy saw them and asked of one also
I saw them online and it looked really good but the heat under the hood makes me wonder how well it holds up. How long have you had that installed? Any heat wrinkles or sagging?

That decal is four years old now. The biggest problem I have is the fan belt throwing up a little dirt on it now and then. Otherwise, it's good! The actual decal is only the white squares. The black is your hood's actual color. I would paint it first. 3M puts out a semi-gloss black spray paint in a can called Mar-Hyde. It's the closest thing I've seen to the factory finish. I removed the inner fenders and painted the hood, then painted the fenders and put them back on.
Did you have to remove the hood to paint the underside? Mine could use that but I have not because of the hassle of removal. That is why your decal caught my eye. Would not have to paint what decal would cover.
