What do you think? I love the look but are there any structural integrity probs? Any drawbacks other than alot of work? It might be a b#$tch to get done on my calipers due to the cooling fins. http://formula.bambeezer.com/frontcaliper6.jpg
If it's polished like that, it better have a clear coat, or you'll be repolishing them every weekend from all the brake dust! That stuff just loves to find little crevices created from polishing stuff. High temp clear would make it easy to clean them. Personally, I like calipers painted the bright colors.

To much work. Buy chrome or paint the puppies!
No, do not chrome the calipers. The chrome will hold in to much heat.
I couldn't imagine the upkeep. Even if they are cleared. Any light braking will immediately cause the finish to look faded. Painted or Aluminum looks good IMHO.
I enjoy the look of the painted calipers...I painted mine Apple Red about a week and a half ago when I put silver 5-spokes on there. Took me about 5 hours to swap the wheels, clean 16 years worth of crap off the calipers and paint them. :hurray: I know it was worth it even if I have to clean them up once in a while...I would however be interested in the polished look
i know that the fins are mostly for cooling, but just how strong are those things after you grind the fins off? what are you guys thoughts? i was gonna paint mind this weekend, but i like the polished better. i dont wanna screw em up tho. any ideas on how to get those fins off either? just grind it off? then sand the caliper with increasingly finer grit? help me out guys. i want it to be safe.
