I have recieved 2 parts from ecklers that arrived damaged. A spedo trim and rear trim , both plastic, one was snapped in two and the other was pealing! Is corvette or mid america any better? :mad
Never had any problems with Corvette Central. :flag
:iagree: And any issues that i've had with parts i've ordered from Ecklers have been quickly resolved though their customer service department. Give'm a call!
Well, truth be known, most of the larger mail order houses (Eckler's, MAD, Corvette Central, etc) use many of the same vendors. Parts quality problems can crop up anywhere. The difference is in how the particular vendor corrects the problem.
To that end, I've always been tremendously satisfied with the support I get at Eckler's (not something I can say about the others) which is why they'll continue to get my business. Your mileage may vary but I've had good luck with them.

:withstupid:
I've had a handful of defective/crappy parts from zip and Ecklers. All issues were quickly resolved over the phone with both companies.
My experiences:
1. Ecklers - maybe 5-7 orders: mostly good but once they gave false info (in writing), shipped wrong part and took no responsibility with their lies and mistakes. They did confess their advertising was false but still no correction or compensation. Have directed my money elsewhere ever since.
2. MAD - maybe 10-12 orders: no problems other than they always say stuff is in stock even if it is not but I am used to that so I always count 2 weeks extra to their promises ;)
3. ZIP - about 5 orders: 2 of them perfect but 3 times wrong parts. Luckily cheap parts.
4. Corvette Central: 1 order: it went well
5. Taber Corvette parts - 2 orders for used parts: both went well. Very slow to respond to e-mail or fax but otherwise no complaints
Receiving wrong parts is worse thing for me than most of you as I live in Europe. There is little sense to ship back wrong parts as the cost of shipping is outrageous and rarely a vendor is customer satisfaction oriented enough to cover their own mistakes. :mad
MAD will still get most of my orders as they accept Diners card which is the best cc for me to use in these purchases. Will soon try out TLD though.
Those guys have some really crappy shipping personnel..........my personal experience is get it from ZIP, I know they tend to be higher priced but there packaging is second to none. EVERYTHING (THOUSANDS) I've bought from them always arrive care packaged and perfect.........
I have ordered from tld (#1 in my book) and corvette central and mad and ecklers only problem was ecklers, if you don't live near them try to get help forget it.
I'm thinking that most if not all of the Corvette mail order places sometime's ship direct from the manufacturer. I cannot fathom a warehouse big enough to hold every part in quanity that these guys list in their catalogs. I've had mostly good luck with Corvette Central, Corvette America, and yes, Ecklers too, but depending on YOUR attitude when you talk to them about a return, has alot to do with what kind of service/satisfaction you get.
