I'm in serious need of some back tires. I do alot of drag racing. I've been set on getting a set of nitto 555R drag radials, becouse their cheap and have great traction. But I'm scared that They may cause rear end trouble. Should I get a set of G-forces instead of the drag radials? How do the g-forces hook up compared to the nittos? Will the nittos cause rearend problems or do I have nothing to worry about? They will be in a 315/35/17 size. Thanks :D
I wouldn't get Nitto drag radials, they have no traction compared to BFG's comp T/A drag radials. The Nitto's will last a lot longer on the street, but neither tire is recommended for extended street driving.
The BFG's are very sticky right out of the box where Nitto needs a lot of heat to get them sticky.

I couldn't agree more. I've really only hooked good (no spin) once with the Nittos. My next pair of drag radials will be BFG's!
I agree with Mojo 100% on the Nittos. I got a set of Nitto drag radials last year and I had fairly good luck with them at the track, but for whatever reason I can't get them to hook at all this year. I've tried everything from lowering the pressure (as low as 16 lbs.) to varrying launch Rpm and these things will not hook. I've been doing some serious burnouts also, but to no avail. I'm seeing some BFG drags in my future :yesnod:
