Default Thanks Eckler's!!!

Seems that almost every time i check into the forum...there's a thread goin' in some section complaining about one aftermarket supply company or another...so i thought i'd just throw in a big THANKS to ECKLER'S for a change.

Monday, I received my insurance settlement for a new targa top and windshield on the '94. So i called around and found the aftermarket replacements were all about the same price....note that sending the top out for replacement of the Lexan was NOT an option since i only have the one top, and the '94 is my daily driver. Anywaze...i ordered the top from Ecklers...(i had a 10% discount coupon :D ) ... and it would be on my doorstep in 5-7 business days....no express delivery/shipping available.

MUCH to my suprize...i came home WEDNESDAY and it was already here!!! It came well packed and with GREAT instructions to perform the necessary adjustments for a proper fit.

Folks can say what they want about Eckler's, but i've ordered a number of substantial parts from them, and have ALWAYS been satisfied with my purchases, and with the customer support i've received on the rare occasion when there was a problem.

So KUDOS to Eckler's!! Many thanks!!!

I've not had any problems with Eckler's either, and I've ordered from them several times. Just purchased a cover for my hardtop from them, and it should be here this week. :D

Glad it worked for you, but my guess is the top was drop shipped by one of their suppliers, hence the timely arrival.

The only time I ordered from them it took nearly 6 weeks for all of my "in stock" parts to trickle in a little at a time. Maybe they've cleaned up their act after hearing so many complaints.

But you never get a second chance to make a first impression :seeya

I have never had a problem with Eclkers... when I ordered my Corsa system, it was backordered, but I knew that, and they called me when it was later, and then called again to let me know is shipped.

But everything else I have ordered from them has been timely.

I suspect that deep down, there are more happy Ecklers customers than sad.

Less than a year ago I ordered a front spoiler for my 88. They sent me one for the 91-96 which didn't fit. To make a long story short, they refused to pay the shipping to return it, which was $154 due to the size. They pretty much said "if you get it here, we'll give you a refund". The part cost around $165. Needless to say it wasn't worth the $11.
I didn't have any luck selling it locally, so I continued calling every day for 2 months. Finally, I guess I complained to the right person and they arranged for pickup...it was a nightmare and almost a waste of $165. :nonod:

 That's kinna weird...because they've always seemed to go out of their way to help me and make sure i was satisfied. Hell...i even had one guy give me his personal cell number to call him on the weekend if i ran into any problems with the install i was doing. I guess there are good and bad customer service reps just like in every other line of work....but sorry you had such a bad experinace.

That's the kind of service they should provide. What a difference it makes when you deal with someone who cares. BTW...I dealt with the same 5 people and they were all women. Maybe things are shaping up over there.

I've never had anything but good luck with Ecklers, but I think the tech support for C3's is just a tiny bit more knowledgeable at Corvette Central.
I like em both

I had posted in the past about Eklers, it wasn't a good post either. I ordered a Carbon Fiber rear emblem which costed $67 dollars including shipping. They said they had to back order it. About a month later I get it in the mail, open the package, and what do I get? The emblem was Carbon Fiber tape with a clear epoxy and double sided automotive tape to stick it on your car. Not even real Carbon Fiber. What the hell, $67 for fake Carbon Fiber. To make matters worse. I got a friend thats into the Import sceen and he ordered a Carbon Fiber Honda emblem and paid $35 for it and was made with Real Carbon Fiber :mad :mad :mad !
