I bought some Y2k wheels for my '84 Vette last September and was very pleased with the looks.
Fast Forward to today, as I was wiping the wheels off (Armor All Window CLeaner No Ammonia), I noticed that some of the chrome was starting to bubble\chip\scratch. I was PISSED because I have NEVER hit a curb with them, always clean them with the above mentioned cleaner and NEVER..EVER driven them in the snow or even rain. Am I missing something as far as wheel care goes? (Yes, My car is parked in a garage every night)
Pardon me....but when I buy new wheels for my '84 vette....I'm going for the ZR-1 wheels ......in chrome.....I know everyone has them.....but not me....and I'm ready....am I ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its more the quality of the products in the market place nowadays. Since you just got them last September, hopefully they are still under warranty. I bought chrome aftermarket wheels for my 88 last year, and already had to send one back due to the same problem you are having.
Hope it works out for you. :yesnod:
Were the wheels new when you bought them. If they were I'd be upset and would be taking them back. If they were used there's not a bunch you can do about it. Chrome will bubble and pit......its matter of when not if.
