You're right. Not a whole lot to see clearly especially from that altitude. I've been watching that channel and they have not put the story up yet. It may be later in the broadcast.
Would have to say that the driver and passenger got VERY lucky!
I finally saw the video that KOMO's Connie Thompson ran and when it was shot from the right side, it appeared that the car was a roadster and looked like silver paint. I saw the ZO6 wheels, too and that was my first thought.
The driver and passenger were named on the newscast but didn't recognize either name as being from any of the clubs. They were both in their mid-40's and both will survive. The car apparently hit a bridge abutment and then a semi coming at them, but the damage was done by the concrete. The truck was able to slow down enough to keep from killing the occupants. Their speed at some point was over 100MPH in trying to pass other cars. Not a good thing to be doing on wet 2-lane roads in that area.
Definetley a C5. Anybody who saw Mike Harmon's crash in Busch Practice at bristol that was bad and he walked away with almost no injury at all. Basically he was just lucky. I'm surprised it wasn't worse for a production car at that speed. I wouldn't want to be ina c4 hitting something that hard.
