I have never used Zaino on my vehicle before. After hearing so much about it on this forum, I decided to check out their website and was overwhelmed by the amount of diffent products and what looked like a very long process to just wax the vehicle. What products do you guys use and does it really take for ever.
I used Dawn, Z1, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6--in that order over 3 days, check my post for pics.
Oh, if weather is nice, didn't have to be that long, I just chose to let it sit over night. Some guy put on 3 coats in one day.

Interesting article, interesting results. I will say that I got the impression that the guy was biased a little towards Meguiar's, although the results seem to speak for themself.

:iagree: He sounds a little skeptical about Zaino from the getgo. I'm not sure how scientific his results are, but I will say this: I have used tons of different waxes on different colors, manufacturers, fiberglass, metal, etc. and I have never seen anything that shined as well as Zaino. With it, the car looks simply amazing. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot.

I am using Zaino for the first time and the results are very impressive. It is alot of work if you're going to do it right and follow their directions. Wash with Dawn, clay bar, wash again, Z2(with the new ZFX additive)-a couple of coats at least, Z5-a couple coats and between each coat some Z6 spray. I love the results, but am not going to all that bother on my "other" cars. It will make your finish showroom quality, but they should work on reducing the number of steps to make it easier.
I use Zaino and like it. Yes, the first time you use it to do it right is a long process but results are worth it. Then it is easy after the first time.

i use it and i like it. i use z1, z2, z5, z6,and zfx on the painted parts z16 tire gloss on the tires and i use z12 glass polish on the windows. i like them all.
I have been using Zaino for 4 years now. My best advice I give every new Zaino user is a little goes a long way. I can get 8-10 cars out of one bottle of Z-2. I let it sit for an hour or longer. If the car is a sunny day only driver, then after the clay bar and Z-1, only ONE coat of Z-2 is needed every two months. Any more than that is wasting it.
Good luck and post us some before and after pics!!
I have not found anything better, and I have used meguiars and zymol, and a few others, nothing shines, or leaves such a smooth finish, not to mention I don't have to spend hours afterward trying to get wax out of the cracks and edges
Zaino is good stuff...but I think the price and availability (mail order only in most cities) is a drawback. I have had equally good results with 3M stuff from the corner CarQueat, and evidently Maquires is great as well...the Mother's was on my wife's car has held up really well, too.

Except I didn't think the first time process was unusually long or hard. In fact it took about as much time and effort as when I used Zymol doing one coat of it. Once you've got the Zaino starter prep and coat on, each additional coat is incredibly easy. Optically Zaino has the clearest shine and it seem to last a long time and resist dust. We do a springtime marathon day on both vettes like 3 coats each and they're good for the summer. Of course the vettes get a few more coats throughout the year. I also do our drivers twice a year and they always look great too
