I've been very happy with mine. I got them on a Tire Rack close-out a couple years back for $77 apiece (285/40/17). Can't beat $377 shipped to your door
I've had a set on my '93 for four years now. I've only put 10k on them, but they still ride, feel, and look like new. No noticeable treadwear, but I will most likely replace them in 2 years just for safety reasons (rubber aging). I would recommend them. They've been quiet riding and reliable tires. I don't drive my baby in the rain (go ahead and bust 'em) but the tread pattern should work great cutting through those puddles if you do :reddevil
I had them on my 88 GTA. I liked em. I saw a 99 Firehawk TA at the strip that seem to leave harder than his competitors when i went to see how stock it was i noticed it was sporting Firestone Firehawks.
I made sure I checked with you guys on the forum before I dropped the 88 off this AM, went ahead with the Firehawks and another $1300 for chrome ZR-1 rims, needless to say this old 88 looks and now rides way newer.
I will definitely get pics, my dig camera is down. This old Vette is great and is getting a lot of attention. The whheels set it off, and I stayed within budget. When you tell people how much you have into this great looking/driving car, they're amzaed they have 3 times as much into an SUV!
I have had these on order from TIRE RACK for over a month now (285/40-17) they are still on "estimated" delivery 05/03/03 from factory to them. Anybody know what the delay might be?
FWIW, Firehawks have the best rating in our size ('96 coupe anyway) on Tire Rack. The only tire that did better (forget which it was) doesn't come in our sizes.
