Steering column
Just wondering, does anyone know if the steering column from a camaro or firebird would be the same?
The reason I'm asking is that I have found several camaro steering columns for a decent price.
Thanks

Can tell you that when you buy your salvage column, if you have an automatic car, then the column you buy needs to have come from an automatic car. If manual, then get a manual-car salvage.
Also check the column very carefully. The column has plastic injected shear pins that are designed to fail in a column-buckling impact, and buying a collapsed column won't do you any good at all...and the only reliable way to tell without a teardown is to measure the overall length and compare it to a known good column.
It may come down to the airbag unit. You may have to transfer your old airbag coil from the old wheel to the new wheel. You will have to transfer the lock cylinder from the old wheel to the new wheel, in order to be able to start the car.
I put a long, rambling set of notes in the C4 Tech Tips section on this subject.
