I would like some feedback from those of you that are using the new Silverstar Headlights. The Auto Zone down the street from me is closing them out for $18 each cause they can't sell them. Are they really that much better/brighter than regular Halogens? I'm running the Sylvania XTRA Vision headlights now, and they seem to do a pretty good job. I just want to be sure that these Silverstars are worth the 40 bucks. Thanks
Are they being discontinued by Sylvania or is Auto Zone just not going to carry them anymore? the AZ by me only had one, which I bought for $10, but I haven't found another yet anywhere...hate to run mis-matched headlights, it would probably look stupid.
Jeff
Most AZ's I have been to have carried either 1 or 3 - never an even number :skep:
I bought mine there for 23 bux for the pair after rebate - seemed kinda low :seeya

Advance Auto parts sells them, too. Or at least they did around Christmas time.
I don't know if AZ is going to quit carrying them company wide or not. The closest AZ to me is half way across town, and not in the best of neighborhoods, and the guy said that the majority of their clientele can't afford them. The set that I bought had dust all over the boxes, and looked like they had been sitting around for a year. BTW....I installed them last night, and went for a cruise down the darkest road I could find. All I can say is Holy S#$& Batman! Those things make it look like high noon out in front of you. I am duly impressed!
I already had the Hella conversions in my car before I installed them going from stock it a big difference but going from the Hella to them didn't notice much maybe a bit Brighter.
I recently replaced my stock headlights with the Sylvania Silverstars, which I got no problem at my local Auto Zone for $24.99 each, the rebate will be $10. I guaran-ball-bear-an-tee you that you'll be very pleasantly surpised by the huge difference. A nice bright clear white light is cast with much wider staging, rather than the narrower much weaker yellowish lighting from the stock lights. Installation was a snap at about 20 mins.
P.S. Interestingly enough, I calloed Sylvania, and they're offering a "special promotion, where you buy one Silverstar for $49.99 and get the 2nd one for half price   :bs
