Breaking up under load

My friend has a '94 and it breaks up under load and under acceleration, at an idle the car runs fine also and in Neutral and in park it rev's up fine, also no codes are coming up on the computer. Any suggestions? thanks Danny :chevy

one of the most neglected things that can cause it it the fuel filter.

Hi-rpm stumble is also the sign of a dying optispark.

I don't believe it's teh fuel filter with such low mileage unless you have really crappy gas in your area. My car has 113,000 miles on it with the original(as far as I know) fuel filter.
I went about 150,000 on my truck with the original fuel filter.

Besides, if it was the fuel filter, I think it would do it all the time. Sounds more ignition related to me.

:iagree: Start with checking/changing the plugs and wires and work your way back to the opti-poopie. Start with the simple/cheaper things first, imho.
