Help Need new radar detector
What's new in radar detectors? I need a new one. I read about one that sends back the signal as 55mph no matter what speed you're going, but I can't find the article! :banghead: Let me know what's new.

What you are speaking of is not technically a radar detector, although it may also detect radar. A radar detector is a passive device that picks up radar and tells you its out there. What you are speaking of is a type of radar jammer which sends back a signal to the cops radar gun that tricks it into thinking you are going 55. Before you get one of those check to see if they are legal in your state. I know that in California we arent allowed to have those.

A couple of the guys in my club have a Valentine....they like them a lot. I have a Cobra 9210, and it works great. so far, It picks up radars before I ever see the cop...and it was only about 90 bucks. It also talks to me....kinda cool :D

I just found out how good my Bell worked, Cop lasered me at 74mph which was posted 60mph. Gee only a $160 fine :eek: I found the best thing to do is to drive the posted speed limit. For awhile anyhow :yawn:

I keep reading that so called jammers don't work even though I found one I think was in the U.K. that seemed to be the real thing. For radar detectors BUY A VALENTINE ONE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. And as far as the rest of the radar detectors...... If you tried a V1 you would either sell or throw out the detector you now own!!! :yesnod: :thumbs: :hurray:
