Today sucks
driving to work today my targa top blew off the car, not because it was loose, the actual glass broke and blew off, I was only going like 55mph this sucks... :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

Sorry to hear that. My top almost blew of one day. The top itself had separated from the frame, therefore the frame was screwed on tight but not the top. I was able to stop really fast and had to take the top of so I kinda know what you feel.

Well the top had started seperating from the frame about a month ago, so I got some Goop marine sealant, its flexible. I fixed the drivers side and its held pretty well. On the way to work this morning I had to go over some kinda rough crappy pavement and I head the roof kinda creak and then I heard lots of wind noise from the passenger side looked over just in time for it to blow off, scared the crap out of me. I am suprised how quick it happened, and I wasnt even going that fast, about 55-60ish. It sucks cuz new tops are $$$$$$ I think for now I am going to just get one of those raincoat things from MidAmerica.....grrrrrr this sucks

you can try to claim that on the insurance... but don't bet on it.
It may be "Glass" -- its really a lexan material.
I had mine damaged in a hail storm, and the insurance company paid for it. But I donno about not tightening it...
