What is a baseline figure on purchasing the front and rear late model bumpers for my 86? I see a lot of guys have them done, do you buy new, used?? Is it a straight bolt on???

I would buy all new...like from Mid America....Corvette Central...or Eckler's

while your at it buy the whole kit.......with everything already pre-assembled...then go from there.....lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to be sure.

You can't buy oem new ones. you can buy after market new ones they are "NOT" bolt on there is a lot of work to do just to bolt them on never mind getting them ready for paint! They don't fit right either. I just sent 2 new after market ones back spent another $250. more and bought a good used one. OOPS you said up dates. I don't how far back you can buy oem. bumpers but you can't buy an 87 new. Sorry. P.S. I can send you pics of how my NEW ones didn't fit and what the oem looks like. My 87 only has 14,000 mi onit and noway was it getting a misfit.
