So you like it? Do you think it's worth the money? I'm going to buy a new detector but MAN these are not cheep. I do want the best though.

No, they're not cheap .... but if you want the best, look closely at the Valentine V1. I've had the others and the V1 is the only one I'll use now.

:cheers: The 985 saved my butt in Kentucky on the way to CI last year. Picked up that new instant on stuff when it reflected off the car about half mile ahead.

Also saved me on Foothils Pkwy, picked up a ranger around a hidden corner

So, yes, I like it :D

I have a 940. I bought it because my car already had a hard wire connector that fit this brand and because it was 1/2 the price of the V1. It seems to be too sensitive to false alarms, it chirps every time I go past a semi. But it does find the coppers when they have their radar on.

how much is the valentine v1 and does anyone have a web add. the bel 975r with the options is $650.

The V1 is $399. It is also upgradeable whenever a new model comes out so that you don't start over on the $$$ tree. One option is a remote for around $40 which is fairly handy.
