Thanks for the info, now to check the RPO,I wonder how many 96 vettes have the performance axle, would not think alot , but could be wrong. Oh by the way Mikez you have one Bad looking vette!!!! Are you going to bring z to the forum get together over the memorial day weekend bash? :chevy
2.59 stock, 3.07 if you have the performance axle which is RPO G92
On a vert you get the 2.73 if you have the performance axle, the coupe gets the 3:07
Are you sure about that? I've never heard such a thing.
I know some early C4's had 2.73's and the C5's have 2.73's, but I never heard of a LT1 C4 with 2.73.
I am positive, I had a 1993 Vert with the G92 option and it had the 2.73 gears. I did some checking at the time, and found out that they did not put the 3.07 gear in the vert. However I am sure if someone special ordered the car they could of got 3.07 gears. If the performance axle was order on the vert you automatically got the 2.73 gear, and on the coupe you automatically got the 3.07 unless otherwise specified.
Look under your arm rest and check the option codes:
GU2 2.73 Rear Axle Ratio
G44 3.07 Rear Axle Ratio
:iagree: Although I can't really speak for verts. Anyway the code for the 3.07 rear gear is G44. So you could specify G92, the performance axle, and then a different code for the actual gear ratio.
what about an 87 vert? 2.73's or possibly 2.59's?? Im unsure, its a friends and i didnt' bother to look for the code. Or is there only one option for those L98 cars????? :skep:

On an '87 you got 2.73 unless you have (RPO G92: 3.07)
