Default Engine Information

I am looking for any type of book or manual that gives detailed descriptions and or pictures of the LT-1 engine. I want to understand the engine better before working on it. thanks for any help.

Get the Helm Shop Manual, helminc.com or ebay.

I agree, the GM Shop Manual for your Vette is the No. 1 reference...a must have.

Two good books on modifying SBC engines are:
"Small-Block Chevy Performance", by Dave Emanuel,
"How to Build Horsepwer", Vol 1, by David Vizard
Each is available on Amazon at around $15 or so.

Another good addition to your book shelf is:
"How to Understand, Service and Modify Corvette Fuel Injection", by Charles Probst

With these references and a Competition Cams catalogue you can have some real fun with your SBC engine.
