I am looking for help in finding a wire on my '96 C-4 that is only hot when the ignition is on and where I can easily tap into it with the permanent wire fused connector that is included in the Valantine kit.
The instructions for locating such a spare (unused) wire under the passenger floor cover from the C-5 section is great. Anyone know of similar instructions for the C-4?
Thanks in advance for the help, Bill
I tapped mine into the back of the cigarette lighter wire and put the V1 stuff in that little corner near the radio on the inside of the carpet. I ran the straight cord up between the split between the carpeting and the dash on the passenger side near the radio. The only thing about doing it that way is it's not a high mount position as I usually run mine just above where the wipers sit when in int. mode. When I lockup the car, I take down the detector and can stuff the wire along the edge that runs under the dash. Most people don't even see the wire there.
Thanks for all the help. I now have my Valentine permanently wired.
