Next month I will be off to college and will, sadly, have to leave my car at home. The car will be garaged and my dad will be taking care of it. Any good tips on storing it? How often should it be driven, how often should he change the oil, any other suggestions for maintaining the car? I will be "stuck" at West Point for the next few years and probably won't be able to spend much time with the car back here in Utah, but I want to have it ready for me when I can, hopefully, afford to play with it a little. Thanks
Check out this link as it has some helpful information. http://corvetteactioncenter.com/tech/care/storage.html Make sure you take some photos of your baby with you to West Point so you don't forget what she looks like. :cry :seeya
Thanks GS919, some good ideas. I'll have my parents start it up and drive it around the block a couple of times periodically, as well as keep it clean.
mobile1 is good for a year. just have them crank it once per month and drive it every other month to keep the tires good. everything else will be fine. you will hear people telling you the seals and everything will rot, well, they will not. the car will be fine a few years down the road.

Pretty good information... I was told a mouse was seen dropping out from under the rear of my car and ran off. I may have a mouse nest in my spare tire area. I'm gonna take it out maybe this weekend and find out what the little critter has in store there, and put up an evicition notice for non payment of rent ! :jester
I appreciate all the advice. I want to keep the car in good shape to enjoy later on. For now, I'll just stick with trying to fix the broken stuff. The springs for the hatch work now! Wooo!!
