Hi guys. Need some advice on the Y2K wheels. I currently have a 96 coupe. I wanted to change out my stock wheels for a set of Y2K reproductions. But I think all of the Y2K wheels are made for a C5 thus the measurements are 17s front and 18s rear.
I think my stock measurements are 255/45-17 front and 285/40-17 rear. That means its 17 all around right?? So, can I put the Y2Ks on my 96?? I tried to find some kind of an adapter for the 18's but no luck in Eckers.
You shouldn't need adapters, U can either buy 4 - 17s so U can use your existing tires or buy 2 - 17 and 2 -18 rims & U'll have to buy 2 new 18 tires for the back.
but please wait for additional responses to be sure

Go to the C5 Parts For Sale section, and buy some stock wheels there. There are soooooooooo many to choose from.
The 17" front 18" rear will fit on your 'vette without an adaptor, however with a larger wheel in back, one complete rotation of the wheel travels further than the 17" wheel up front. Therefore, you must also buy a reprogrammer for your 'vette to compensate. I read somewhere that a general rule is that +/- 1" = +/- 4% change on the speedometer.
