Im going to install my bodykit soon (as soon as a pick one hehehehe) but i was wondering are they easy to install as i live in australia and dont trust anyone here to install the kit. So what tools and how long will it take me to do?
Re: Installing a Bodykit, What do u need....? (Soulja_350)
I'm not a body guy, but since body kits are almost all made of fiberglass, you'll have fitment issues. Just an inherent problem with fiberglass stuff. You'll need to file them down to fit correctly, so it's bolt on, unbolt, file down, bolt on, check, unbolt, file down some more, and so on.
Then , depending on how ready to paint the body kit is, you'll need to prep before you paint. Paint them, then let it cure. Then bolt on and it should fit.

thanks! GDP, the painting isnt a problem becuase im going to get teh whole car paint in a new colour so i can just install the kit and get it paint when the car is done
Re: Installing a Bodykit, What do u need....? (GDP)
GDP's hit the basics of gettin' the parts on the car. But IMHO for most of these kits to look like anything but cheap aftermarket bolt-on kits...you should epoxy the parts to the car as well and glass the seams whenever possible. 'Course...that ALSO means a new paint job for the whole car...
