Painted my calipers...
I painted my brake calipers today. After I got the ZR1 rims, I thought it would look great. What do you think?

Re: Painted my calipers... (Jeffvette)
That probably cost more than the $4.99 I spent on Red Hi-Temp Engine Paint! Looks  though!

They will be on somebodys purple C4 soon enough. :jester
Blueyednd, the cost isn't that bad, plus it will last alot longer than the paint as it's more durable. Plus you can do quite a few custom colors.
Here is the front fully loaded ready to be bolted on.
And a rear caliper

Re: Painted my calipers... (Blueyednd)
Is it possible to paint the whole part. I noticed a couple of you painted the most of the area red but also the edges look black.
Could that whole area be red ... or whatever color?

Re: Painted my calipers... (96TorchRedCoupe)
I've got red calipers on my black '86 w/5 spoke rims. Yesterday I FINALLY got around to pulling off the front wheels to do a thorough job of cleaning off the brake dust. When I was done I took it for a little spin. 3 stoplights from home I noticed the car next to me inching forward. Inside was a girl elbowing her boyfriend and pointing in the direction of the wheels. He almost fell out of his seat trying to get a better look. That's what I call instant confirmation that I did a good job cleaning them! :D
