Insurance
Any advice on insuring an 87 vert? I had used Hegarty on an older Vette but now find that they do not insure anything newer than an 84. This will be for pleasure use only. I live in Michigan. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)
American Collectors Insurance http://www.americancollectorsins.com/ They are an affiliate of USAA. Insurance for my 85 is only $234 per year for liab, comp & collision, with no deductible! Good luck!
Also, I just ran your 87 on their website and entered your state and value of your vette as $15,000 with maximum comp & collision, no deductible and medical. It gave a premium of $288 per year...
try Grundy. I just insured my 64 coupe ($30,000 agreed value) and my 87 vert ($20,000 agreed value) with $500,000 liability for around $550 a year. As long as you only drive for pleasure and to car events, it should work for you. I believe it was around $350 for just the 87 and the liability. Also, no deductible for collision or comprehensive!!!

Sounds like a good deal, I ran my car and it came up with $174 a year!....but the 2500 mile per year clause does me in. I'm probably looking at 4000-5000 a year, depending on the weather
