Air Filter Replacement Update
Just wanted to say Thanks to those of you who took the time help me in finding out how to change the filter. Made it so much easier with your knowledge.
Now that I am ready to change it one last question, is a K&N filter worth the extra money or should I just stay with what was in the Vette, an AC A1097C?

A K & N will not flow any better than a new, clean stock element.
A K & N will flow better, clean or dirty, than a dirty stock element.
You won't have to replace the K & N.
..But you WILL have to clean it! :cuss

:iagree: K&N is no better than new, that's my opinion. But, it's a keeper forever if you clean it, where a paper filter would need to get tossed.

You will need the K&N kit since the filter needs to be re-oiled once it has been cleaned in order for it to work properly.
