Overheated CDs...?
After playing a CD for awhile (20minutes or more), ejecting the CD results in 3rd degree burns on my fingertips. Well, that may be exaggerating, but not by much. Is this normal for the stock Bose??
all i do is listen to cds some times when i get really bored i just go out side and just put a cd in and just chill in my car but thats a differ. story but they do get hot real hot but unless its smokin u dont got a prob
Back when i had the original head unit it, and the entire car was running hotter than normal, the actual CD unit would display "Overheat" or something to that effect and would not play the CD.. It was crazy!
This is normal for any CD player. Even more so with aftermarkets as compared to Blose, care of the amps being in the unit itself, and not slapped onto the back of the speakers.
